Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen to the / zu der Kunsthalle Mannheim

Rune Peitersen talks about his work „RAABJERG“ in the exhibition „Contested Landscapes“ at the Kunsthalle Mannheim. The artist reconstructs the history of the Råbjerg shifting sand dune in Denmark and documents its transformation with and without human intervention over several centuries. His video work raises the question of whether there is a “original state” of nature at all.

The film is part of “Biennale to go”, the podcast for the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie 2022, where Alexander Hagmann accompanies you in conversation with selected artists and Iris Sikking, the curator of this year’s Biennale, on your way from one exhibition venue to the next.
